Who manages the Cedar Pass Snow Park?

The Cedar Pass Snow Park, a non-profit organization, operates the snow park through a Special Use Permit issued by the USDA Forest Service, Modoc National Forest.

How can I help?

The day-to-day operations are supported by a cast of volunteers who:

*      Maintain and service the lifts and groomer

*      Groom the slopes

*      Purchase snacks and staff the concession stand

*      Issue rental equipment

*      Operate the rope tow and T-Bar lifts

*      Offer ski and snowboarding lessons

*      Serve as Ski Patrol

*      Assist with general operation, maintenance, and cleaning of the facilities

What is the typical ski season?

The snow park strives to open by Christmas vacation, of course dependent on snowfall.  We are generally open until April, when snow conditions begin to wane and the public looks to other activities for enjoyment.

What are the mountain statistics?

Top Elevation:                       6400 feet

Bottom Elevation:                  6080 feet

Vertical Drop:                        320 feet

Skiable Acres:                       40

Runs:                                      5 groomed runs, 1 powder bowl, and lots of tree skiing

                                                Easy: Rope Tow and The Road (lower portion)

                                                Intermediate: The Road (upper), Ronnie’s Ridge, Mushroom

                                                Advanced: North Face, Powder Bowl, all tree skiing

What is the Cedar Creek Interpretive Trail?

This trail is ready for use by Nordic skiers.   Blue Diamond markers have been installed for approximately 1.5 miles, beginning at the Cedar Pass Snow Park Trailhead and ending where the trail intersects Cedar Creek.
